HONDURAS

So, the next place I find myself floating  in...is Roatán (Honduras)

Eldon's Supermarket, Main St, Coxen Hole,Honduras

When you get to Roatán and wondering where to provision -head to Eldon's Supermarket. I was very impressed with the quality of the produce there. The produce was in a much  better condition than some of the grocery stores I used before . Its super close to the marina as well which is convenient.

The most common street food in Honduras is the baleada. Baleada is made of a flour tortilla which is folded and filled with refried beans, quesillo or cheese and sour cream. Many people add roasted meat, avocado, plantains or scrambled eggs as well.

I absolutely loved Roatán and would happily go back there . I do say that about a lot of places ...... If you are thinking of your next holiday destination I would say go to Roatán. Its so off the popular tourist track and yet so pretty and unspoilt -reminds me of the Seychelles andTahiti.

If you like diving ...its worth having a look at Roatán.  There are so many dive spots around the island. Every few meters there are dive shops . Our guests as well as some of the crew went diving at Roatán and said it was really good.

Captain gave us day off!  We had an owners trip for just over a month....full on charter....long hours ....everybody on point 24/7 and so when we got the confirmation that we could have one day off -we decided to hire scooters and explore the island.
It ended up being an absolutely amazing day .

All the shops in the town are so colourful.

What a fun day it was!
