Genova!!

I spent a lovely time in Genova.  I explored as many places as I could over the weekends.  It was easy as all the places are close to Genova and trains go everywhere. I became so  familiar with the trains and the  time schedules etc. Hop on/ Hop Off and you are at your location.  Cinque Terre , the old City, forts, museums and so many more  was my destination  but I could not see it all!

And then it was time to say  Arrivederci to the city .I had the best time in Genova , absolutely loved it   So much culture and history . Never got bored being there...and my favourite place to go for coffee was 'Eatley' 😉.

I did my provisioning mostly at Coup , its a great supermarket with beautiful fresh produce and freshly caught seafood.

Sunset-Viareggio

Part of our itinerary was  Viareggio , Portovenere , La Spezia,
Scanalino , Corse,(it is a French island ) , Port Vecchio ....
The yacht made its way slowly down the coast stopping every night at a marina or nice bay/ anchorage.

Bonifacio I must say was my favourite place. I couldn't get enough off that place. It had a medieval feel about it. There is a Spar supermarket very close to the marina and has everything you need. There is a bakery in the shop  with delicious baked breads and  croissants for a  happy crew and guests.

Bonifacio

There is a fort close to the marina.
You can actually see it from the marina.  I highly recommend visiting it . When you enter the fort you will find boutiques and lovely restaurants with picturesque views. If you have guests on I would recommend they check that out.  Our guests had happy faces when they arrived back on the boat after visiting the fort. Its something fun and exciting for them to do. Its quiet a walk up to the fort a  bit steep, thats when a gelato comes in handy :)

Another interesting place was  La Maddalena. Small marina ,a very quaint little town. Porto Cervo is the IG place to be 😜. Its quiet the hype and 'must' see place. All the rich and famous hang out there.

In Portisco which is quiet close to Porto Rotondo is a supermarket in the marina , however it is very small with the basics.  If you want a big variety I would recommend going to Porto Rotondo. The supermarket there is very good. Although it's bit of a walk to the supermarket , it has everything you need ...and there is a fish market close to the supermarket.
