I am a Fijiana .... a  yachtie girl ...a farm girl... and I find myself -   smack in middle of Bangkok 😳🙈
I am in this vibrant city to learn all there is to know about Thai cuisine.
My journey started in Fiji . I flew from Fiji to Hong Kong ,which was a 10 hour flight with a connecting flight from Hong Kong direct to Bangkok.
Transport system is so good.  Trains, taxis, tuk-tuks, boats, buses....whatever you feel like!

I did my Advanced Professional Thai course with
Bangkok Thai Cooking Academy.
This institute is highly recommended.  Facilities, Instructors, course content....all of the highest standard.

Included in the course fees is accommodation which was basic, but clean and tidy.  The serviced apartment had a TV, fridge , bathroom and was serviced daily and a minute walk away from the Academy.
Well , we started the first day of the course  off by going to the market (8:45am). It was very interesting to see all the fresh produce, ingredients and freshly caught seafood that is  available and used in Thai cuisine. The vendors sold greens, fish, meats, chicken, desserts, fruit....
They sell freshly made thai curry paste on the streets. Everywhere you go you will see vendors selling street food and Thai desserts. So, you will never go hungry.

Each week the students receive a manual with recipes that will be covered.  It is extensive and quite busy with about 6 dishes being made a day.

Nat, our very charming Thai instructor.

Off course there was plenty of time for sightseeing, which I did extensively.  I loved Bangkok!
